Hilton event security felt intense but orderly—metal detectors, body searches, masked staff, and armed details—while socializing, coffee, and family photos carried the day.

I'm at the Hilton. The security is very good. There are body searches and metal detectors.
The guests confirmed, are safe / green lit, and so, no need for inner perimeter sniffer dogs to look out for explosives.
The president and prime minister, along with many important individuals are arriving soon.
Things are going smoothly.
Armed army special forces commandos and even plain clothes presidential security division officers are lurking around nearby.
10:30 a.m.
Gamini Marapana and Thilanga uncle have signed off the wedding.
11:30 a.m.
Security is good. I saw there are army commandos prancing around. I am socializing with friends. I am sitting down to rest now. The coffee is good.
11:45 a.m.
We have a sit down table service menu.
3:45 p.m.
I think 12:15 p.m. I was initially taking a picture of the table plan, but then, I think the best thing that ever happened in my life happened and I quickly moved the camera angle to capture what is most important.
Like all the way. The camera angle moved like a big angle.
I was scared people behind me would peep...
I did it so fast.
So so fast.
My mum, with Sujeewa Nelson, Shavendra Silva, Thilanga uncle and Samadara nandi.

4:15 p.m.
I am exhausted. I am waiting to go back to the hotel to rest. It was a good day.
