I understand what Ann Coulter was trying to do in that interview with Vivek, because I also want leaders to be very honest about how their beliefs guide their choices. For me the rule is simple: I don’t want anyone, from any religion, ██████████████████████ to gently ██████████████████ onto everyone else. I’d rather ask a leader like Vivek clear questions about fairness, rules, and how he will care for people who don’t share his faith, while still looking at his actions and ideas—not at his religion by itself.
