Israel is a relatively small, 21,671 sq km plot of land along the sea. It's roughly one-third the size of Sri Lanka. We're 65,610 sq km.

For many Jewish (and Christian) people, this land has significant historical and religious meaning dating back about 2,000 years.

Much of the Middle East is predominantly Muslim, and Muslim communities also live in countries such as Indonesia.

I believe the deep spiritual connection people feel to this homeland deserves respect.
