(The following is speculation)

I’m working on things.

I’m thinking about how Trump is helping stabilize the world.

The way that some people tried to push Ukraine into a harder line with Russia — including expanded weapons and funding — while dealing with a nuclear power:

I believe it was a serious mistake.

I think Ukraine has been encouraged to take on a role that doesn’t match its real leverage.

Israel is in a very different position.

There are 2.3 billion Christians who identify with Israel as Judeo-Christians.

They see Jesus in the Jews, so the Evangelical Christian community paid for funding.

This is a primary source of political and financial support for the Jewish state.

Ukraine has no such lobby, no such clout, no such support base at that scale.

The reality is: big powers can apply overwhelming pressure, and smaller countries live inside those constraints, even when nobody says it plainly.

Taiwan is a difficult case too.

The situation is complicated, and the incentives for restraint are real.

In Sri Lanka’s case, it’s different.

We’ve been an independent country for 2,000 plus years, as one nation.

We have rarely had deep problems with India, except over sea boundaries over fishing in the Jaffna area, where Sri Lankan Tamils fight with Indian Tamils endlessly over where they can fish.

I think that kind of coverage inflames issues rather than solving them.

I think it’s about direct relationships.

We are friendly with the big tech companies, the news media, the defense businesses — those are our sweet spots.

They all know me.

We have to be persistent to get anything done.

We have to be loyal.

I think that, after the US, where I have family like Hashani as Captain in US Army.

The idea is that Sri Lanka stays secure through structured partnerships, with clear rules, and with sovereignty respected.

It’s more like, they like me, cause we have a lot of similar qualities.

I’m quite liberal.

I’m too Americanized, to get along too well with the British.
