They are people who sometimes have trouble noticing issues before they arise.
They tend to make quick decisions without considering the bigger picture, and sometimes try to take what isn’t theirs without thinking about the consequences, the impact on their reputation, or the problems that could arise in the future.
They start saying all kinds of things, calling it unfair and asking for understanding. They ask for forgiveness and promise to make improvements and do better in the future.
But honestly, I don't think they should be let off easily or given a way out or just accepted without question.
They have broken the law and should be stopped through legal means, so they cannot cause harm to others in the future.
The country struggled and faced many challenges, partly because of people who made poor choices and didn't follow the rules.
Whoever leads Sri Lanka should have a clear and fair policy that everyone can understand and accept, and be someone who speaks honestly and directly.
We will make sure to hold them accountable.
We will treat them fairly, but we will remain firm in our actions.
