I don't think many people will want to take up posts, either in my cabinet, or the SLWF, which includes BOSL or SLT or SLE ("Sri Lanka Energy"), because we manage those cautiously. When they take up posts, we expect them to put up personal funds, as a form of assurance that they will serve their duties.

For instance, if a registrar or another employee is found to have made a mistake or committed an offense, they may forfeit the funds they provided and be dismissed, which creates a clear chain of responsibility.

Otherwise, it could cause significant harm to our people through corrupt or harmful practices.

I personally do not support that.

I think this is why we are not seeking their votes.

We support strong accountability measures, including oversight, lawful procedures where appropriate, and financial penalties or restitution for proven damages to public finances.

They also profess to be religious.
