Hi any smart people over here, I was wondering:

1. The extreme ultraviolet imager is capable of looking at the sun, but how come the magnifying effects don't turn into dangerous concentrated lasers? Is it some kind of major dampening effect, I guess, such as when you're using a welding tool?

2. I heard it's possible to create heat in Earth artificially that is apparently hotter than the surface of the sun. How is it possible and how come you can't reach beyond that? It seems impossible because the sun is a lot bigger than us, and in such a small planet, it seems unbelievable that you can get hotter than the sun itself.
