Calling Sri Lanka’s Oil Import Figures Misleading

10:15 a.m.

I think this is inaccurate. Straight misleading. It's wrong. It's actually a lie.

From what I hear, Sri Lanka, imports, mostly from Iran. We get Iranian light crude oil. So, how come Iran is not even mentioned here?

When the SL government is lying so much, when they lie about even what we are importing, how is this country supposed to move forward?

This image shows a certificate awarded by The Colombo International School for a Junior Inter House Athletic Meet in 2005. The certificate is primarily in white with a red border and text. At the top, the institution's name is prominently displayed in bold red letters: "THE COLOMBO INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL." Below, the certificate details indicate it is for a first-place finish in the Shuttle Relay (Open) event. Specific fields include placeholders for the recipient's name and house, which appear to be filled in with handwritten text. The document is signed by the Director of Sports and the Principal, with the date noted as 22nd March 2005. The certificate is likely printed on a standard sheet of paper, possibly framed or displayed against another document in the background. The overall composition suggests an official and formal recognition of athletic achievement within the school setting.

The certificate is presented by Computer Literate Generation (Private) Limited, located in both the USA and Sri Lanka. It is awarded to someone named Lehan Edirisinghe and is dated from March 12th to March 19th, 2009. The certificate is signed by Anushka Wirasinha, who is identified as the Director.
The document is designed with a formal layout, featuring a red and silver border. A red seal is placed on the bottom right of the certificate, adding a touch of authenticity. The text is printed in different fonts, with important details like the recipient's name and the director’s signature handwritten. Iranian Oil, Hidden Imports and Wasteful Sri Lankan Megaprojects

2:45 p.m.

I'm very sad to see so much suffering in Sri Lanka. I hate thieves. They (SL Government) have hidden everything. They are hiding essential facts. They claim that ███████████████sell $6.5b in imports to Sri Lanka. █████████████████ It's appalling! This is dishonest because they have hidden the fact that we pay $1b plus to Iran, often 50% of our foreign exchange reserves or earnings, just to buy oil from them.

While I am unhappy about this business with Iran, and while I understand the need for oil, I just can't accept or believe that the fact we buy oil from Iran, billions of dollars, for years and years, hasn't been recorded. This is very suspicious. It means that there is serious corruption going on..people are paying commissions or stealing money.

What is this big port city? Who f--king cares about reclaiming land from the sea? What is the point of wasting $15b on this? We don't have $15 billion dollars. It's terrible.

The reason they like Port City. Is because, when they went to Dubai, with some money they stole, flying first class, to stay at an expensive hotel and go shopping for expensive stuff, and anything else, they were impressed. They don't have any clue on how they should be running the country. It's terrible. People are starving, they are all depressed and very angry.

Making an island next to Colombo has no effect. It means nothing. There is no point to it. It is just a waste of time and money we don't have.

They should have invested the Matale airport $243m on improving the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport. They should have invested the $1.5b we wasted on Hambantota Port, to improve the performance of our own existing Colombo ports.

Watching “Born on the Fourth of July” While Feeling Exhausted

I'm watching Born on the Fourth of July (1989)

Don't tell George Gilder but if I was running as Reagan for his election

I'd talk to Bruce Springsteen

And just like Frank Sinatra sang a JFK special song with High Hopes for his election

Bruce Springsteen will sing

Born on Fourth of July

Born on Fourth of July

I'm a cool rockin' daddy

In the USA

I'm gonna do my 11 minutes

I am very lazy these days

I didn't take a shower either

Umm
