Dhammika only surrendered to police because he promised Malik Samarawickrama and Thilanga he would do so. To tell the truth and expose the whole pandora's box on █████████. This is why her heroin peddler ████████ paid Siriwardenage Chaminda Udaya Kumara to shoot Dhammika Amarasinghe inside the court house.
What's obvious now, is that Bada Mahinda is quite a liar. He's clearly fallen out with Dhammika Amarasinghe. Or has some ulterior motivations driving him.
After this happened, Bada Mahinda again claims dishonestly he is friends with Dhammika, who is now dead, and he goes on to make many more claims.
If he was truly friends, why then did he tell the police Dhammika was contracted to murder Malik Samarawickrama or to shoot up Lasantha's house or provide verbal confirmation or not to kill Lasantha in a vehicle with his wife on board?
He wasn't. He was working for █████████. It's as simple as this.
He was paid to make Thilanga look bad.
But Thilanga was smart, he got to Malik, got Dhammika to surrender, and Dhammika promised to tell the judge the truth.
█████████ was incredibly stupid here. Because she has tried to pin her mistakes on this poor guy using Bada Mahinda, who was later found dead. Which indicates whomever he was working with has had him killed. She didn't think very far or clearly at all, she was often drunk and had to be carried around by her PSD killers.
Bada was a liar.
There was no order to kill these people like Malik or Gamini? What for?
Why shoot Lasantha?
What for?
Why shoot Dhammika in the court house? He was only there to testify against █████████.
In all of this Bada Mahinda's testimony, in all of the Sunday Leader articles, Lasantha, Frederica Jansz, nobody has ever said that Thilanga has ever murdered anyone or ever asked anyone, such as Dhammika Amarasinghe to kill anyone.
Gotabaya Rajapaksa has looked after Duminda Silva well. Duminda killed Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra. Certainly, mirroring ████████, who was ███████████ heroin peddler, as ██████████████ I guess was, or ████████████ was to Mahinda, ███████ is to Gotabaya Rajapaksa. Duminda has killed Bharatha to stop him from exposing and stopping his heroin peddling racket to kids.

Most likely Dhammika Amarasinghe was kept around as threat factor defence. The people he killed were mostly personal feuds as his family suffered 16 deaths according to local media. The US uses the same threat factor defence strategy to deter attacks against America.
If you do go ask Frederica Jansz, who is now living comfortably in the US, and even Lal who is Lasantha's brother a simple question:
"Who has Thilanga killed, or who has he aided and abetted or asked Dhammika Amarasinghe to kill?"
The answer is simple, "nobody".
Because you don't have anyone to murder.
