The Gift Edition

The best gift is the one nobody else can buy. Someone you love has already written enough for a book.

Recipe notes. Old letters. Four years of a blog nobody read. A diary. The messages they wrote to you.

It is already written. It is just not a book yet.

Send it in whatever state it is in. We fix the typos, make a cover, print it, and post it in a box with their name on the front. Thirty dollars.

What thirty dollars buys

One printed copy, delivered.

  • Up to 200 pages, paperback, with a cover made for this book only.
  • Their name on the cover and on the title page.
  • A proof-read pass for typos, dates, and broken formatting.
  • Your gift note printed inside the front.
  • Boxed and posted to the address you give us.
  • A private digital copy on AngryPages they can read from a phone.

Who it is for

A parent or a grandparent who has told the same stories for thirty years and never had them written down. Print them while they are still here to hold the book.

A friend or a partner, handed back everything they wrote and never showed anyone, with their name on the front. It costs less than dinner and it is still on the shelf in ten years.

Or yourself. You already did the work. Nobody has ever shown you what it looks like finished.

How it arrives

Send the writing in any state — files, exported chats, screenshots, or handwritten pages photographed on a phone.

We come back with the page count, the cover plan, and the date it can arrive by. If it cannot land by the date you need, we say so before you pay.

You approve the cover and the gift note. Nothing prints before you do. Then it ships to you, or straight to them, on the date you choose.

The work behind it

The thirty dollars covers the reading, the fixing, the cover, the print, and the post. Anything past that is quoted before it starts.

  • Proof-reading — the last read before it prints.
  • Book Covers — a cover drawn for this book and no other.
  • Printing — paper, binding, and what a copy costs.
  • Delivery — boxed and shipped end to end.
  • Co-Editing — for a book meant to be published, not just held.
  • Translations — the same book in a language they read better.
  • Audio Books — for the people in the family who will not read it.

Straight answers

We do not rewrite what they wrote. Typos go, voice stays.

A gift book is private by default. Nothing is published unless you ask for that.

Custom print runs of an already-published book follow the print floor on Printing.

Give it three weeks. This is not a same-week service.

If they keep writing after this, Support Plan runs the account for them at $30 for thirty minutes of our team's time.

Tell us who it is for, roughly how much writing there is, and the date it has to arrive. Nothing is charged before you see the plan.
