A digital book can reach anyone.

A printed book gives it weight.

That is why we print.

A printed book can be held, signed, gifted, displayed and stocked in a shop.

It can sit on a shelf in front of someone who was never searching for you.

Our standard format.

6 × 9 inches · Perfect bound · Usually around 300 pages · Laminated cover

We avoid A5. We aim for a clean, durable book and work with the printer to reduce common production problems such as cover curling.

You pay the printing cost.

We help prepare the files, work with the printer, review quotes and decide how many copies actually make sense.

We deal with printers regularly.

Our founder's uncle owns Sumathi Printers ↗, an offset printing company, and we can work with other printers when the book or location calls for it.

Demand makes print worth backing.

If your book is already selling well on AngryPages, we have evidence that people want it.

That makes investing in print much easier to justify.

For books showing strong demand, AngryPages may share 50% of the printing cost with the author.

We would rather print because readers are asking for the book than print hundreds of copies and hope.

Print closer to the reader.

Sometimes shipping a book across the world costs more than printing another copy near the buyer.

We can help set up and prepare your book for Amazon KDP when print-on-demand is the sensible route.

That can include preparing the edition, adapting files for the format and helping work through the publishing setup.

We choose the method that makes sense for where the readers are.

Amazon becomes one channel, not your entire publishing relationship. AngryPages can stay beside you through printing, distribution and bookstore negotiations.

Give the copies somewhere to go.

Printing creates something a bookstore can actually stock, display and sell.

We can help approach bookstores, negotiate terms, manage inventory and plan reorders.

Depending on the retailer and arrangement, we may be able to negotiate terms that leave roughly 40–70% of the retail price with the author and publisher before printing and other direct costs.

A digital book waits for somebody to find it online. A printed book can sit in front of somebody who has never heard of you.

When we take the whole risk.

AngryPages receives around 160 proposals a month, and we very rarely choose to act as a traditional print publisher.

When we believe strongly enough in a book's commercial potential, we may finance 100% of the print run ourselves.

Those deals are negotiated separately and may include print rights or exclusivity because AngryPages is taking the financial risk and building the book as a product we intend to keep selling.

We recover the agreed direct costs first.

The remaining print profit is typically split:

50% author · 50% AngryPages
