I will prefer if you visit in August, so you witness the Perahera in person from the VIP area if flying such a long flight to Sri Lanka, as it is a breathtakingly beautiful sight to behold, you won't believe it -- and you won't forget such a significant, sacred ceremony done to honour Buddha, it's even better than looking at a famous painting like Mona Lisa in person, and it feels as though you're the king in charge of the whole kingdom like Simba with Mufasa in Circle of Life to celebrate you being born.
