I Used Wolf Playlist Energy to Hide the Bank Delay

பிப்ரவரி 13, 2020

I used music, confidence, and business talk to keep myself moving, even while bank delays, porn shame, suicidal lows, and old family trauma kept breaking through the surface.

It looks like Ron from SIERRA has torn a ligament on last Monday during his skiing trip in Switzerland and is in trouble. He won't be able to make it for a Sampath Bank meeting as planned. Instead I'll go to the meeting with Ewen Lim from Athena Dynamics.

11:45 a.m.

I found some health problem. It should be okay. I'm just going to relax and go to this meeting. I can't remember the dude's name. I can check.

6:00 p.m.

I met Lakshman Benaragama at Sampath Bank. They told me we'll need to work with Aruna Krishantha and Thushara Jayatunga again as they're doing security. Pasan Manukith is going away to Australia soon. It's part of the process.

Ron from Synack cancelled the meeting as he had fallen during a ski trip. I think it must be true. He's generally honest. I tried calling to see how he's doing. He told me he'd call me later instead. ███████████████████████████████████████ I'm under a lot of stress. But I'm happy too. It's just PTSD, but I'm only reacting internally. On the outside, I seem relaxed.

I got a call from some people at NDB, Kohli Samaraweera who works in COO Deepal Akuretiyagama's office. He advised us on supplier registration. Deepal Akuretiyagama's busy. I also got messages a domain we're trying to buy may go to some other party. We're sad about it, but that's life. You face difficulties.

Exhibit 7. I'm hungry like the wolf

I love this song. I have a really great playlist. (Because it's all songs I like) (omg did I start a sentence with "because"? I hope the grammar Nazis don't catch me!!) Omg, this was filmed in my beautiful country Sri Lanka! I just knew it was home.

4:30 a.m.

I got up a while ago. Ron from Synack has replied to Thulan Amarasinghe via email from his wheelchair. I'm happy. I hope I didn't get into trouble, I get the blame when Thulan asks questions. Ron explained why we need the scoping questionnaire done or providing information on Etisalat case reference, something I was supposed to do.

Jorge is also quite happy with Graham's Tawny Port Wine as we're in contact with the industry leader. I got up because I'm dehydrated. I also frequently suffer nightmares. I had a very scary, disturbing nightmare. I think I already mentioned Etisalat by name in the email. Ron and I augment each other. I'm going to get some water.

9:45 a.m.

I decided that somebody owns shares in Commercial Bank, DFCC, NTB, HNB and we asked him for help. It looks like NDB owns some shares in Seylan Bank, and we can try that route. A better route is Rusi Captain, presumably Sohli Captain's son, is a minority shareholder. A simple introduction to Harsha Wanigatunga, the CIO will do.

Sampath Bank's sort of a problem. Lakshman Benaragama told us to talk to and work with Thushara Jayatunga again. This is a problem because Thushara doesn't want to speak to us. I'll try do a discovery to see if there's anybody we can use over here. It may be best to just try Pasan Manukith again.

10:00 a.m.

The three wise men who saw Jesus when he was born are Parsis. Therefore Zoroastrianism is a part of Christianity.

I saw Iran has had a big population boom. It's currently 81mn people. It was about 40mn in 1980s, and 20mn in 1960s. I███████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████

█████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████

10:15 a.m.

I think I misplaced Pasan Manukith's phone number and calling card. His office people are a bit busy. I'll try looking for his direct number. The number was engaged or something. I think Pasan's secretary Manori Jayatunga is on the phone with other people.

10:30 a.m.

I think maybe, 80mn is a lot of people. I don't know. I think how it was screwed up is that British Petroleum controlled the oil fields. They should've appointed the Parsis. There should've been some kind of quid pro quo agreement. It was a very careless, ill thought out failure.

10:45 a.m.

I'll look for Pasan's phone number again. Jesus Christ hehe. I can't believe I got sloppy. I usually save numbers. I must've kept it in my trouser pockets or something to lose it like this. Whatever, it happens. I'll try call these Sinhalese I work with "uncle" if considerably older and "aiya" if they're closer to my age. It feels a bit awkward to call by first name because it's Sri Lanka, not the US or UK.

11:15 a.m.

I'll need to go get breakfast. I learned Jit's bought over n Able. I'll try use that angle on our customers. I'm trying to work with Vajira Wijesinghe, the COO and acting CEO of N Able. I think it's better than Sumathi information Technologies, the SIT people aren't reliable. We regret it. It's unlikely we'll work with SIT. I dunno, maybe we will.

11:30 a.m.

I found Pasan Manukith's number. I called his office, Manori Jayatunga picked up. I asked where "Pasan uncle" is hehe. I don't know. I think it's a bit awkward to call him first name because he's older than me. I don't like it when people call me uncle or aiya. Manori said it's not professional, and to use Mr Pasan or Mr Manukith. Good idea!

12:00 p.m.

Mr Sohli Captain called me. His sister's very sick apparently. He told me there's just 11 Parsis in Sri Lanka. Very small number. Plus, they don't accept converts. So, it's sad they've only got like 100,000 people. The fire temple I wanted to visit was just a small hall apparently. Nothing particularly interesting. Even if "fire temple" sounds really cool.

12:15 p.m.

I think The Three Wise Men, Zoroastrian Magi priests, they were important to Christianity. They were like the second part of how Mother Mary was a virgin. It was a sign. Their story matters to me now. I don't know. I'll probably end up seeing the fire temple with Ferhad for a life experience.

█████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████

Whatever. It wasn't meant to be. As a Christian, I can't ever really give up. I'll always try to support innocent people. I can't accept a situation where they grabbed Iran and kicked out the Parsis. But I guess, I just have to. ██████████████████████████ █████████████████████████████████████████████████████████ I'll be damned to hell.

2:15 p.m.

6:15 p.m.

I'm a bit concerned about Sampath Bank. I spoke with Mr Pasan Manukith over the phone. I'll try to meet him if Mr Thushara Jayatunga and Mr Aruna Krishantha are completely unwilling to talk to me. It's not what I expect out of an organisation, much less Sampath Bank, but I sadly concede it's the way this country does business.

9:15 p.m.

I think I only ever really get along with the Burghers, the Parsis and then the foreigners in Sri Lanka. I only speak English properly. I honestly struggle to speak Sinhala. I'm really upset about the decline of the Parsis. I love them. They're my friends. I cannot let them die.

██████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████I'll write to my friend Sohli Captain. I'll ask Senake Amerasinghe to help connect.
