I think that over time, my perspectives on religion and theology changed, matured and evolved. For instance, I think just like in Freemasonry, or anything else, there are degrees or levels or gradings.
There's the popular culture or rumour or gossip interpretation which is usually from media.
This is likely level 0 to 10. So people have briefly heard about, have friends from or Google searched very briefly. If it is completely wrong, which is impossible, unless only deliberate, then 0.
Level 11 to 20 is more like they read the BBC page on that religion. Or they studied the Wikipedia page. This is shockingly where most people are.
Level 21 to 30 is where they briefly read the source material, have informed conversations, take part in activities, etc. ███████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████ I would say it applies to Muslims and Christians drawn in by interest. ██████████████████████████████████ They may find Christian symbolism or references which pique their interest. Or swearing or whatever.
Level 31 to 40 is when they deep dive into it. This is only by reading a full version of the text in source materials, Bible, Quran, Talmud, then Tripitaka. I would say they also take part in religious activities knowingly.
Level 41 to 50 is more to do with comparative understanding. They see how the abrahamic religions all tie in. █████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████ For instance, in Game of Thrones, the vacuum was filled by that church like cult, that appeals to spiritual needs.
Level 51 to 60 is learning about advanced topics in those faiths. For instance, King James Version, alternatives, why. Differences. Vocabulary changes. Interpretation. Differing versions of Quran. Expanded Tripitaka, such as Digha Nikaya. And also the opposing, atheist narrative. ██████████████████████████████████████████████
Level 61 to 70, is figuring out how the world works from a religious perspective. This is where Buddhism really shines. Especially Theravada. Because you see the nature of reality. But at the same time, you see that it's not something most people can make sense of. █████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████ Especially regarding logic and reasoning skills, not so much maths logic or verbal reasoning or vocabulary.

Level 81 to 90 is dangerous. It's really.
