Lehan Edirisinghe

The page moves from music into a Crooked Man pitch and a small midnight noir draft.

In this screenshot from the film "Cruising" (1980), we see a scene set at night in an urban environment. The focus is on a character, portrayed by Al Pacino, who is seen from behind. He wears a black leather jacket, adding to the mysterious and gritty atmosphere typical of a thriller. The character is walking down a wet street, reflecting the lights from the surrounding buildings and vehicles, which include several yellow taxis parked along the side.
The lighting is dim, enhancing the noir feel, with the streetlights and building signs providing the primary illumination. The scene captures the essence of a bustling city at night, with the architecture of the buildings and the parked cars contributing to the setting's authenticity. The mood is tense and immersive, drawing the viewer into the narrative's suspenseful world. The use of a VLC media player interface suggests this is a digital viewing, with familiar playback controls and menu options visible at the top and bottom of the screen.

Imagining “The Crooked Man” as a Psychological Thriller

5:15 a.m.

We can make the movie, "The Crooked Man". I'd love to direct it, as a psychological thriller, where heterosexuality is outlawed, and everyone has to be gay. I liked the movie After Hours, which is rewatchable. When I write, I do sort of aim to write a story, which meets my personal criteria. It's just got to be fun. That's pretty much it. Which it is for me.
