I'm a ███████████████████ in Sri Lanka and feel I share little in common with the wider population. I was educated abroad, I don't speak █████████, I do not follow the ████████████████, and my experience highlights some clear differences in values between parts of the developed world and aspects of Sri Lankan society. These factors have led me to consider leaving Sri Lanka in search of different opportunities elsewhere. At the same time, I have received volunteered social support, there is considerable interest in my individual profile, and there remains some prospect of success even if I assess the likelihood as low given the country's difficult ██████████████████████ circumstances and how it is perceived internationally. Investors who have looked at my work have been cautious; some have declined to return or to take the risk, citing high uncertainty. A few of them point to █████████████████████ explanations for the problems they observe, and others make broad generalizations about countries such as █████ or the ████████████. I view these reactions as examples of how outsiders sometimes interpret complex situations through cultural lenses.
