I strongly suspect Sri Lanka's deal with China by Mahinda Rajapaksa, ratified by Sirisena and then continued by Gotabaya and Ranil, over China Harbor Eng. Corp's Port City for $15b to make 665 acres.
If we win the election, we will have to investigate this.
To the best of my knowledge, and the Port City commission chairman was and is my family lawyer and Thilanga Sumathipala's lawyer Gamini Marapana (Barnes Place, Colombo 07), and Dinesh Weerakkody who wrote Ranil's biography, who went to my University of Leicester, who is the current chairman of this Port City Commission (appointed by Ranil), to the very best of my knowledge, insights from speaking to everyone as the whole of f***ing Colombo knows me, and I know them, and after looking through all the materials shared on Port City project, there are no details whatsoever, as to what the $15b is being spent on.
Because it can't be for dredging or for reclaiming 665 acres.
When I asked Thilanga, who was told a marketing pitch by Gamini, he parroted stupidly to me that "there are 5 zones, commercial district, this and that and this and that", and his friend Sandalal who was People's Bank CIO while ██████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████ he's even more stupidly than his boss and friend saying, "all we have to sell is land", and Gamini, who was hurried away from me, by his son Navin, as they're terrified of me, when Gamini was talking to me very shortly before Navin literally pulled and dragged him away at Udhantha's wedding, he complained on China, saying they were "not really helping, not good, not sharing any valuable skills, business or earning, appear to be hostile, that they were pushing him and them around, giving them attitude, etc... "
As Mike Pompeo put it, China's not a good friend to us, they're a predator, while the US is our friend, and a partner.

1997 October to 2002 June, Phase 1: 188 hectares (460 acres) reclaimed by Ministry of Construction and Public Works for $11m. This is continued by Belgian Joint Venture Company, International Port Engineering and Management and Dredging International for $21m. Total cost: $32m.
2002 to end 2015, Phase 2: 244 hectares (600 acres) were added. This was for $50m. The total area added was 1,060 acres for $82m.
If it's 1060 acres for $82m in 2000s to 2015.
Sri Lanka shouldn't be paying $15,000m in 2010s to 2020s for 665 acres.
Worse, nobody has any confidence in Mahinda Rajapaksa, the general approval rating for Ranil and Sri Lanka's politicians is very low. After it fell to 10%, it went to a negative figure. It's in fact, a "disapproval rating" of 30 to 70%.
Most likely, they've been paid ██████, as Rajapaksa has also used the funds (mixed) by China for Hambantota Port or Port City for his election campaign (likely sponsored, to sign those xyz deals).
Very little details shared on investments, costs and terms. Sparking fears of corruption.
Suspiciously: President Yameen changes constitution to allow foreigners to own land in the archipelago. Shortly thereafter the island of Feydhoo Finholu was long-term leased by a Chinese company.
The reason Sri Lanka's in such a bad situation is because our corrupt politicians have betrayed our people, they have accepted ████████ ██████ in exchange for very corruptly accepting legal agreements to lose billions of dollars, on borrowed money, from China, for these very unfeasible projects.
