Lehan Edirisinghe

I sense, the reason uncle Jagath refused to go to, well, outside SL, with betss.com, is clash of values; mostly..

This explains it. When I view Sri Lanka, like virtually all investors, the place is hawkish, bullish, not very clean seeming..

The "low trust society" values, clash, is very expectant, and it's cost the people a massive future, and also the interest rates, that go with servicing loans, they balloon because of the risk, the slowness, the corruptness, the dishonesty perception.

I'm in SL, because I live okayish, and want to see something good happen here, I have been given good stuff too.

So I'm loyalish..

Maybe they know they can't compete, or don't want to compete, with the rest, there is not much movement by Denise Coates in US, at Bet365, either

So that may be the way they see the world.

AngryPages is tiny, but a tiny sperm, a tiny blue whale, we are also in 6 countries, we actually made $150+ from 6 countries...

I applied to "Lankan Angel Network" who have 70 investors who put in $6m, or about $40K, to startups; offer 10% - $45k

It's a good enough deal, but I saw weirdly, they didn't really respond, acknowledge receipt and those people involve, seem to be locals, who might not really want to be party to AngryPages Inc.

Eric's been in Colombo for 3 days; IDK what he'll win; I got no SLT response, I offered some value

It's mostly they have the same culture. Harini tried to claim, "Sri Lanka has changed": But what she meant was, the voter's mood changed, it shifted, which is the normal cycle, between left vs right. Not that they have changed. The deeply, deeply ingrained way of life, way of doing things, and way of doing business is very much the same. As far as a foreigner can see. This is why, they aren't really investing. There's a huge emphasis, on contacts, relationships, it's basically the same as Pakistan or India. The best thing to do is not to get misled, or led astray, and do business, in a way that they are used to or expect. That is the only real way to do anything, that can ultimately lead to someone in SL benefiting somehow. We are stuck in perpetual, I dunno, deja vu. People who believe in Islam, will find life in a Christian country, to be unbearable, as a hell almost. The same applies to a Christian going to a Muslim nation. We are trying to build SL, so that the people do well, instead of begging almost all the time, failing and crashing, and then, surprise surprise, some tragedy, some murder, and a worsening.

The only thing we can do as a MNC is figure out: "how can we, support SL, the way the people wish?"

Because to me, as a founder, if a public official demands a bribe, that's nothing but a confirmation that the public, put their trust, vote and authority to demand a person who needs that, a person who won't reply to a US firm, doesn't want money, those are devastating consequences, they are asking for.

As we are anyway established in US, we can also focus on more marketing or efforts in the US, as most of our money has been earned outside SL.

We are trying our best to play by Sri Lanka's rules, to try to generate some product or service that benefits them, that they are willing to pay for, buy or recommend as they think it's good.

Yes, I believe, Virtusa, WS02, Sysco Labs, are only in SL because the founder is Sinhalese, that's the only 1 reason.

Yes, we won't give any other country special treatment, we won't waste our time, we wouldn't care about the people as much, besides in the US.

I saw Dinesh Schaffter was on LAN; it triggered me; his murder will never be solved; if found guilty; no punishment

I saw Dinesh Saparamadu, I called him. He didn't pick up yesterday. He's spelt his name backwards to found Hsenid. I saw Linda Speldewinde, cause I saw my sister went to her AOD. I saw this, umm, I dunno. I think Pete Deemer, is from GameSpot, previously, I am unsure. The founder? I dunno. I think some of my older freemason contacts have heard of him, but I don't go there.

I haven't got any interest in freemasonry now, I didn't really have good memory to remember the lines or rituals anyway.

I don't know any of those LAN people, I just offered up 10% for Rs 15 million in LKR because it's a good proposal. I doubt they'll buy it though.

That's $45,000.

We want one dude or girl from SL, to be part of this business. I also offered it up to Scott at Akamai and Tom Leighton, and invited anyone else to partake.

Cause they're cool.

Tomorrow, is some holiday, and the next day is a Buddhist holiday.

Thilanga's son Sajantha told me to call him, no answer. I doubt they'll do anything, I think he's lied, and will probably try sabotage or come up with excuses. He's someone with very clear clashes of values. And he has taken part in Upali's funeral, and even visited according to Sandhya. So I am not sure...

He's got 6 books, might be able to republish, but I dunno if people will buy it. We need to sell like one famous dude's book, which people will want to buy.

Quintus is selling though.

I am also shocked that, there's so much -- so little demand from SL side -- it seems the traffic is very low compared to global demand

Let's be nice to SL, I mean, the people are nice to me; Passport Office, lady, printed my doc, stappled, filed.. kindly.

So they deserve our help, instead of being perpetually punished. I think so. We'll try to publish more people. We are doing okay.

Anura should immediately force fire anyone working for SL gov't who retaliates for sending him evidence/correspondence

This must be forced to take place, where the gov't office lines are bugged/recorded, and then they are terminated by law of their employment with the reason published as the formal reason for it to happen.

Report: SLT Fiber 100MB/S, Tx Rate Drops 2-3 times, to 0 or 8 Mbps. Possibly signs of spying.

I wouldn't use SLT if I was the US embassy. I think Julie Chung's crazy. She's flat out delusional. She having signed off on SLT's safety, is probably a clear sign there is a problem with it. Use SatCom for anything important. Use SLT for like basic things like entertainment. NEVER send vital data or WH correspondence off it. We're likely getting hacked, but haven't got much to hide. In fact, Eric should treat everything she's done as highly suspect of being totally wrong, suspicious and likely to have been paid for by hostile parties.

I'm grateful, we can run FB ads, under Trump, reach customers, grow.. We should popularize AngryPages soon.

I am thinking of the personal brand bubble tea program. Where if someone, gets to build a book, they win a bubble tea or a frosted strawberry pie. And it's the same price, or perhaps 10x more expensive actually.

No it is.

We charge $30 bucks, so that's Rs 350 or Rs 320 depending on the tariff, going to work out to Rs 9,900 which is far too expensive for locals.

They can't afford the f***ing product we are selling.

In general.

So we need to show them a price like Rs 1,700 for a book.

That's $5 dollars.

That's within budget.

It's expensive to perform all of our services, so it's priced at $30, but it prices out the people in SL too much..

The max we can charge is perhaps $10 dollars.

Which is Rs 3,300, which is more realistic.

We want to keep it at that rate, to give them an asset in their name, in their pocket, for life, which is worth doing next.

Story

These prices, might be a bit too high for our SL customers, to afford... We might need to taper it down to $15 maybe..

Because the goal here, is to rescue, to give them an asset, all of them, so they can monetize it, and reduce their stress, and improve their lives, and increase the value of their reputation..

But it's way too low, for us to be able to do it at scale.

Look, I mean, a Pizza Hut. They make a pepperoni. It sells. I don't want to overcharge..

2,400 -- 3,000 LKR is about 7 or 8 or 9 usd.

So it's very low, but a pizza, isn't the same as a book.

But we could make it, so they get an asset at least.

$10 is a very credible rate, I guess.

I'm scared $30 is too much. We want SL's people to have a AngryPages® book or story they own.. All of them.

So we will need to configure the pricing strategy, so they can take part. But first the rich people, or upper middle income segment, then the rest. We haven't ai assisted the pipeline fully, as we saw there were risks which require direct editorial supervision. So we will slow it a bit, then proceed.

We'll proceed.

I am considering discriminatory pricing, to help poor countries, but it is too risky, to perform at once..

Because if we charge $30 in USA, it's the standard price. The only way we'd reduce is by giving them, a lower quality agent or editor, which is damaging to them. We are scared to do this.

It's ugly.

Uh, I guess, we can, find a way, to get it done, so Tier A, B and C countries, we'll use prices, which are more easy for them to afford. But then, like ChatGPT Go plan for SL, we can give them a product that is smaller.

Which kind of sounds very lame.

I would rather, we find a way to attract "big people", then, price it at $30, and then, attract people at these standard prices.

Or else we'd have to get some team in I dunno, some country, to route it to, and they can end up botching the product, or story.

I'm also depressed about it.

I should give up as well, as it's depressing for me to consider those, they are strikingly sad, because we can't be expecting to give everyone a book then.

So maybe the top 10% of Colombo or SL can get a product, and then, that'll be enough as they got the asset they paid for or built properly.

Decision: Keep it at Rs 2,000 or $6, because we can, at scale, publish; goal's to make 22m assets of the SL public..

This is worth us shelling out for. Or else, find ONE dude, who gets it, or girl, then, beyond Tenali or Quintus, who makes it feel easy, or sensible, to start earning globally with. And then it'll be easier to repeat.

We'd need a celebrity. But I am not sure how. They also aren't writers. And people are asking Elle ai where f***ing Harry Potter is..

Which defeats our business model.

We need to make sure the people here make books which sell.

I'm extremely physically unhealthy; even if I look good. I'm under 50kg. And I got high CPK (heart atk); 'n struggle..

I couldn't go to freemason events, and gave up. But it wasn't just that, I never really left the home for other events, even for like parties or business or whatever else. I am insanely physically unhealthy. I also just don't think it's entertaining enough. I got some shocking good news from AWS, though.
