I'm under a lot of stress. I wrote on fb:
Wrote this at 6:45 AM today.
Couldn’t sleep properly because I hear everything — the protein powder bottle, the gardener, even a sneeze from the next room. Need soundproofing badly.
Talked to a childhood friend last night and realized I’ll probably have to cut him off for good. Values clash too much. Friendships keep collapsing for me. Might be C-PTSD, enlarged amygdala, whatever — I’m not great with people.
Watched the Iran news and felt that quiet fear again.
But the real thing is this: Sri Lanka has almost no independent record left. Sunday Leader stories are disappearing. Aragalaya momentum is gone. We’re left with Dilith’s Derana, Sirasa, Hiru — the usual spin.
The 4/21 families looked at Anura K Dissanayake and straight-up said: “If we knew you were coming, we wouldn’t have shown up.”
This is where we are.
