I remember Rajat Gupta, 3 term McKinsey and Company Managing Partner going to jail -- for insider trading with Raj Rajaratnam -- and he realised prison guards were incentivised to throw inmates in solitary confinement because you get paid more for keeping prisoners in there as opposed to regular jail cells.
