I think I learned, to paint light, from Johannes Vermeer. He's a master at painting light. I do not always use the same painting techniques when I do rarely paint for pleasure. Although, I have never gotten over or forgiven my Art Academy, that has very disgustingly refused to treat me fairly, admit me or appraise my work, and has kicked me out of art school because they don't know anything about art.
I think SOMETIMES. I might use layering, where there's an undercoating, and then I have to patiently, let it sit, for some time, to set. I use a VERY thin coat of oil paint and i gently do it. It's an extremely tedious process, not worth it. I don't think I have had any worthy subjects, besides my grandma, who my mum stood in for. I think it's a good technique. I have to buy better brushes. My brushes are too fat. It is hard to paint faces. Big bristles. I do marvel at Vermeer's way of capturing light in his paintings.

Everyone likes art. I like art. I am very angry they kicked me out of art school. I hate them.
