What I don't like about prisons, is that, in school, people often group up. They get along with people from the same skin color, the same race, religious group, national origin, or political opinion.
So, they cluster up. It's a general trend that is extremely likely to happen anywhere, in any time.
The guards, should be in charge, a judge should be in charge, not a prison gang leader.
It's like enriching uranium, like distilling down castor beans to make ricin or sarin or mustard or cyanide, or Zyklon B, you have a problem where people who are on the right track, they do better; the ones who are insecure, on the bad path, they get worse, they hang out with the wrong crowd, who bring out the worst in them, they often group up.
I have seen, often criminals, they have friends who are criminals. In Sopranos, Tony's friends are mob guys, all of them, they steal Ray Bans (sunglasses) together.
