See, Ranil, UNP / Capitalists, they would have won the Tamil votes, if Jaffna (under LTTE control) could have voted.
This Mahinda / Nationalist Socialists, and commies, they won because Ranil couldn't get the votes he needed by a very slim margin of less than 200k votes.
All the Mahinda Rajapaksa voters got to vote, but the Ranil voters couldn't and were denied their right to vote.
I don't know, how many votes, weren't allowed to be cast.
The Tamil National Alliance made a big mistake.
The LTTE, may have still lost the war, but I doubt Ranil would have ordered them to be executed. By then, Tamil was already added by Chandrika as an official language, and so, they could do well.
I think Ranil Wickremasinghe would have accepted the LTTE's surrender.
I think Mahinda, having lost so many friends, like Jeyaraj Fernandopoulle, and his brother Gotabaya nearly, on a couple of occasions, he was keen on ordering the "execution of the LTTE leaders surrendering".
I also wouldn't have accepted their surrender most likely, knowing myself, although, I will promise ███ to help him ██████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████ and think it's cool.
