The Dell Alienware x17 m5 and Inspiron 16 Plus are the two options for me.

I'm not sure which one to go for.

I'm shocked an Alienware 17 inch is "so affordable". It's a Ryzen AMD chip.

But I don't know, I am leaning towards an Inspiron because I've enjoyed my last laptop so much and have loyalty borne in respect for Dell computers.

If I change to a good ssd, that old 10 year laptop which I've used every single day, and abused absurdly, it will still work.

I guess, that a disk to disk transfer already was done, I guess foolishly I picked a Kingston ssd, as I thought that Kingston was a storage specialist.

It may be possible to recover the data. I'll need a new os maybe. Or get it moved. There are a few crucial files.

It's really hurtful when these types of setbacks happen, because you feel betrayed.
