Baddegane Sanjeewa also worked for ███████████. ████████████ deputy defence minister ██████████████████ and his son █████, had Amarasinghe killed Sanjeewa. Gala alias Udaya Kumara had allegedly helped kill Sanjeeva as well. █████████ used Soththi Upali and also Nandasiri Karunathilake alias Nandana,to kill Lalith Athulathmudali. ███████████ lawyers defended Soththi Upali for free in court. █████████, along with █████████████ and████████████████, murdered █████████████ husband Vijaya Kumaratunga -- and tried to frame the communists. Both Sinniah Gunasekeran alias Kimbula-Ela Guna and Jayakody Arachchige Ruwan Perera alias Olcott attempted to assassinate Kumaratunga -- and if she did not associate dangerous figures, she would not have been able to survive herself.

Frederica Jansz reported, Kumaratunge's security officials, Tilak Perera, Anil and Thusith Samarawickrema, Jagath Kumara Hewa Pathirana, Baddegana Sanjeewa and Yapa Bandaralage Sudath Chandana, have beaten up Lasantha Wickrematunge and his wife Raine in 1995 with clubs used as weapons. Further claims: Tilak Perera was rewarded with a liquor license and money given by Kumaratunga's business partner Harry Jayawardena who owns HNB, Commercial Bank, DFCC and NTB: according to a statement Tilak submitted to the police. Kumaratunga privatised and allowed Jayawardene to purchase the state's alcohol monopoly as DCSL PLC.

February 26th, 1995: Murder of Arambawelega don Indradasa Silva -- (Soththi Upali's elder brother) killed in Grandpass.

October 28th, 1996: Murder of Vithanage Sriyarathne in Colombo 14.

June 6th, 1996: Murder of Hettiarachchi Asoka Priyananda Perera in Grandpass.

December 25th, 1994: Murder of Kalinga Ajit Prematilleke in Borella.

Prior to 1999: Murder of Jeevan in Thotalanga.

1995 robbery of the Bank of Ceylon branch in Thihariya.

1994 murder of Lionel Alias "Polkade Lionel" in Welikade.

Sumathipala had no reason to kill any of these individuals named above using Amarasinghe. An anonymous party lodged an official complaint to our police special branch called the Criminal Investigation Department (equivalent to the FBI) that Amarasinghe was contracted to murder two individuals by Sumathipala. Chairman of the United National Party, Malik Samarawickrama and executive director of the Airport Services, Gamini Abeyratne who was working for Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Both of these individuals are friendly with Sumathipala and Malik immediately met Sumathipala to discuss this. Amarasinghe threatened Sumathipala, so Sumathipala asked Samarawickrama to pardon Amarasinghe. Malik told Sumathipala that it was ███████████ who was behind this and refused to pardon Amarasinghe as Samarawickrama wanted to kill him. Abeyratne works at PM Mahinda Rajapaksa's office as a personal staffer. Sumathipala had no reason to kill Lasantha Wickrematunge and had nothing to do with the attack on the editor's house in 1996 which Amarasinghe attacked under orders from ███████████████████████████████████████████████. Sumathipala and SB Dissanayake told ███████████ not to do this. When Amarasinghe was arrested, Sumathipala introduced himself and spoke with Amarasinghe to uncover ███████████ who was behind this. This is why Amarasinghe began to rescind false testimony by others against Sumathipala and was ultimately ready to implicate ███████████ which is why he was gunned down quickly.

Sumathipala foolishly believed in accordance with Buddhist teachings that Angulimala who was tricked into murdering by his wicked teacher, was 'transfigured' by Buddha to attain nirvana, he can save Amarasinghe. ███████████ exploited wickedly after giving him protection and supplying him with alcohol, women and money as someone whose family were mostly killed by gang violence. The person who killed Amarasinghe belonged to a rival gang connected with ███████████. Sumathipala (perhaps) only asked Amarasinghe to burn down (arson) Lakshman Balasuriya's Lake House betting shop in Kandy which was █████████████████████████████designed to control the gambling monopoly with "fear". In reality, Balasuriya (Lakshman) collusively meets with Sumathipala every month to set the betting odds cooperatively (in my opinion; based on what Jagath indicated in confidence). Kumaratunga's cousin's husband ''accidentally'' killed my father Palith Edirisinghe in 2005.

Lasantha angered many powerful SL leaders who threatened to kill him, but Sumathipala had nothing to do with the attack on his house which was most likely done by ███████████. Lasantha only printed that Sumathipala was involved in gambling and forged a passport because he signed a letter of recommendation to the British High Commissioner along with a cheque that was already signed and put before him by other members of the Sri Lanka Cricket executive committee for Amarasinghe to travel to watch a cricket match. Amarasinghe was a dangerous figure who Sumathipala was afraid of, and may have been forced to support out of fear for his life. When you are running a gambling monopoly for 73+ years, you may be forced to cooperate with violent underworld figures to survive consistent attacks from rival politicians or businesspeople.
