Anne Frank, Guinness, Jameson

Lehan Edirisinghe

Anne Frank’s line about “never had a real friend” got echoed, then Guinness and Irish stew nostalgia took over. Anthony Bourdain clips and Jameson praise closed the night, name-checking Troy Billet and Grace

I have run out of space on my laptop. So, I am going to start jettisoning unnecessary fuel oil out.

I am going to burn through Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations, never clicking pause button.

Then, I will go through the Master Class lectures. I will therefore be preoccupied.

Steven: It just costs $1.5m to make an episode of Peaky Blinders. I can get you a lifetime 15% take of the winnings of

BetSS.com

Just get Thomas Shelby to say, "my betting franchise is called Sporting Star, then get his 'new friend' Jagath to run it in Sri Lanka (Ceylon)".

In fact, for 25%, you can change the credit roll in ALL the Peaky Blinders TV shows, to include, "Bet SS . com" to bet at "Sporting Star":

Just like you later removed, Harvey Weinstein's name as a producer off all the episodes.

Even if the business is making $200m locally, with your support, Sporting Star will make $2-10b internationally as a MNC betting franchise.

We can even donate to any cause you wish. We can patron any worthy cause. As James Packer, Crown Casino, or his dad, said, "it's my (his*, your*) money, I can do what I like (transfer it anywhere*)."

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Jorge André Nunes!

It looks like, Covid-19 is finally (Touch Wood! I really don't want to say it too fast!) showing signs of stopping.

This means, we can at long last, after a numbing 1 or 2 years, hopefully begin to resume business.

Tourists might begin to return.

I don't know.

It's been very devastating. Sri Lanka is a tourist dependent economy. It's like 25% or 30% of our economy. So, with 0 tourists, it's been crippling.

█████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████

I hope we can buy a lot of crates of your Graham's Port. My family / we usually give out drinks complimentary.

I am sorry I deleted a birthday wish on███████████. I was a bit paranoid of hacking as we were discussing cooperating with Russian vendor: Positive Technologies.

Our deputy chairman Jacques complains that I tend towards "Catastrophization" and worry too much, as though, the sky is falling, the world is ending and the house is on fire -- often after getting drummed up US threat reports from the US State Department.

My team's ██████ Perera, who is liaising with top levels, suggested we sign off with Russians due to difficult, awkward tense situations with US vendors under Bide.

I hope I was just overreacting and making a giant storm in a tea cup, but there's always a risk of attack. We didn't make any deals with PT Security.

I hope this year, 2022, we can try to stock hotels and restaurants with Grahams. But it all depends on how quickly this Covid-19 goes away.

I honestly don't want to jinx it. If Omicron is the final deadly virus variant, it's over.

██████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████

So, it's struck us pretty badly.

██████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████

I didn't expect Covid-19 to be so devastating. I predicted it would go away quickly, especially, when a vaccine came out, although now, in hindsight, it was worse than expected.

There's millions of cases, many of which are deaths, it feels like an unreal nightmare, a lot of businesses have been disrupted, millions of displaced jobs.

You live in Hong Kong, so you would know. I have not been able to leave my house for months. I feel like Tsar Alexander II, who was imprisoned with his family.

I only left around 5 or a max of 10 times last year. This is with the good vaccine. Usually, to get haircuts, for essential business, etc.

My high tech business is thankfully running as a virtual office. We invested the opportunity and time, to diversify, plan out new strategies, to win projects. We are lucky, as an advanced solutions supplier, we are well positioned than most.

We are actively meeting up with, talking to, doing big deals with the top level national leaders. Last week, I helped light up and open a giant stone thorana/ pagoda monument at my family's Gangaramaya Temple.

My mum visited Army Commander Shavendra Silva and Sujeewa Nelson's house this week.

**SECTION 2: Rich prose with relevant info**
This image is a frame from the video "Anthony Bourdain No Reservations S03E01," viewed using VLC media player. The scene captures the exterior of Troy's Traditional Irish Butcher Shop, recognizable by its striped red and white awning and a sign that reads "LOOK IN THE WINDOW." The setting appears to be outdoors on a bustling street, likely in an Irish town given the theme of the shop. The awning provides a quaint, traditional aesthetic to the front of the shop.
In the foreground, a few people are visible, standing or walking near the shop entrance, dressed casually, indicating a lively and approachable atmosphere typical of a busy market area. The shop seems to be well-visited, with an inviting entrance that encourages passersby to explore inside. The lighting suggests it is daytime, casting bright, natural light over the scene. This frame highlights the cultural and culinary exploration theme central to Anthony Bourdain's show, where he often delves into local traditions and food cultures.
