Unfortunately, while I appreciate the help Wix has provided for many years, I will be sadly, having to stop using their service.

This is primarily because their loading times are too slow.

I think that I will have to design and program the website by myself, of course, hopefully aided and abetted by experts.

We will have to host the website with a provider, that offers good speeds. Wix, has 2 shortcomings, a business process flaw: 1. they do not help customers to switch to independent programmed websites (for insecurity of losing revenue), and 2. they do not allow customers to choose which content delivery network or hosting providers they wish to use.

I think Word Press is a good option. However, we should be able to jump, straight into the (safe to dive) deep end, where we host a website we designed.

A website usually has 3 aspects: 1. an address, which is the URL or domain, 2. they have the actual display of the website, which is likely written in html a markup language (not a programming language), and beautified in css, while the server usually is written in php. I guess, the 3. is the size, which is via hosting, and also cdns which focus on loading times.

I think, that I did learn many things about webdesign because of the ease that Wix has offered me. Their team was largely, often always professional, although I didn't like some parts, such as their not so perfect partner program. These lessons will be very useful to me.

I think in my view, we should be, designing a nice looking website. But then, adding a web app, on there, which will take some time to load. It's a good, fun and very cool area for me.
