I open light, with Snoop and a grin, and then the mood drops into a blunt confession about exhaustion, failure, and why I don't feel compatible with Sri Lanka. Even while I'm calling Trump cool and modern, the deeper current is that I feel drained by politics, depressed by the country, and unconvinced I can win here. The payoff is the emotional honesty: swagger on the surface, resignation underneath.
