Writing the Bradman Weerakoon History Lesson and the CIA Footnote

TL;DR part 1:

I try. I try so hard to just click a button, the on button on my laptop, which is right next to me.

BUT, I am just so exhausted from this morning's activities, I couldn't do it. I think I might've woken up at 8 or 9 a.m.

I woke up, or logged into this:

1954 --> Government Agent ("GA") which is equivalent to District Secretary to:

C7.Anuradhapura,

D9.Jaffna,

H21.Badulla (assigned only),

and then Prime Minister's Officer.

1953 --> Assistant Secretary to the Prime Minister at the time, PM3 Sir John Kotelawala.

PM1 is Don Stephen Senanayake. Stephen is John's uncle. PM2 is Dudley Senanayake who is PM1 Stephen's son and PM3 John's cousin.

John donated his estate Kandawala, to the Ministry of Defense, and this was repurposed to a defense university, and so, he was promoted from Colonel to General when he died / posthumously.

It is therefore called, "Sir John Kotelawala Defense University", it is the local Sri Lanka equivalent to US Military Academy ("West Point").

1956 --> Brad, was promoted to Secretary to the Prime Minister and served PM4 Solomon West Ridgeway Dias ("SWRD") Bandaranaike.

I dispute this fact with Jagath uncle, but I think after seeing a BBC documentary that Solomon spoke English as his main language, often struggling with Sinhala, but ironically changed our official language from English, to only Sinhala, whereas I'd have only added Sinhala.

This would have avoided a long drawn out conflict.

Solomon was sadly shot at his Tintagel Rosmead Place home by Buddhist monk for refusing to support his importation business.

The Buddhist monk assassin who concealed a .45 handgun revolver, later "converted to Christianity", in a bid to make Christianity look bad.

Specifically, to secure a lucrative shipping contract to import rice from Burma and Thailand. This contract was instead given to a government controlled state monopoly on advice by Marxist Ministers Philip Gunawardena and Richard Gotabaya Senanayake.

Richard was PM1 Stephen's son Fredrick Richard Senanayake's son, who I agree with Stephen LaBrooy was more intelligent than his brother PM2 Dudley.

Later, again on advice of these two ministers, the monk, who is not supposed to be earning money as monks should try to avoid greed or material possessions and depend as beggars of alms, was denied a sugar manufacturing license for his private company by Solomon Bandaranaike.

1960 --> Served PM2,6 Dudley

1960 --> Served PM7 Sirimavo. NOTE--> Sirimavo is first female prime minister of the world, SL also had first female queen slash head of state in Asia, which is Queen Anula.

Brad resigned.

1976 --> International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF/ "Planned Parenthood") Sri Lanka Secretary General/ CEO (NGO).

They support family planning, condoms or contraceptives, abortion, fertility, they reduced the Sinhalese demographic child birth in SL from average 7-8 to around 2-3 children (a popular conspiracy theory).

The local monks and Sinhalese leaders allege, such as Harischandra and maybe Jagath, that the NGO Planned Parenthood was a "US Central Intelligence Agency plot" designed to ruin the country.

This is by lowering the population size of the Sinhalese demographic, so that minorities such as Tamils and especially Muslim populations would increase and overtake us (Sinhalese replacement theory).

These kinds of conspiracy theories and xenophobic, anti CIA sentiments are shared in many countries, as during this era in the 1970s, the CIA was being exposed for many questionable, harmful programs internationally that you can read about in William Blum's book Rogue State that Stephen LaBrooy has given me.

I should point out, the CIA's 15 year CISO Robert "Bob" Bigman, is advising my company CYB SPC on technology as he's an expert in the field. As such, due to the sponsorship, my views are biased in favor of the US government and the CIA.

My ██████ Bob prefers to assist US customers, and our US office, but nevertheless, I do learn "domain expertise" from him, that is still offered to the local SL customers, although, often not requested, understood or valued because of the very low, third world technological maturity of Sri Lanka or even Asia.

The CIA is not to my knowledge trying their best to appoint me as President.

July 24-->

Background:

By July 1983 tension was rising in the Jaffna Peninsula and throughout the country, the TULF had decided that their Members of Parliament resign their seats and on July 21, 1983 in Parliament, V.N. Navaratnam delivered an emotional farewell address.

July 23 was a quiet day in Jaffna, even though there were political activity in Mannar.

INT. Army Camp at Gurunagar -- DAY

That day (July 23) at the Army Camp at Gurunagar under the command of Brigadier J. G. Balthazar, the army was preparing an ambush for a LTTE leader Sellakili, who had been engaged in militant activities. It was to be carried out by a group of Commandos with the call sign Four Four Charlie, at Kondavil.

During this time Sellakili was planning on getting revenge for the death of Charles Lucas Anthony aka Seelan and had observed the army patrols.

EXT. Tinneveli on the Palali - Jaffna Road -- NIGHT

That night (July 23) a group of 25 LTTE men, including LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran, Kittu, Iyer, Victor, Pulendran, Shellakili, Santhosam and Appiah gathered at Tinneveli on the Palali - Jaffna road at a point where the road was dug up to install new telecommunication equipment (supplied by CYB SPC hopefully).

Near one such excavation site, four explosive mines were placed and "a plunger" stolen from the Kankesanturai Cement Factory was placed on the balcony of a nearby house. Machine gun nests were placed near the exploder and across the road.

The LTTE force was split in two teams (c, d) and placed on both sides of the road with Sellakili present.

The Ambush:

After At 23 28 hours (July 24) the patrol reported that it was leaving Urumpirai junction and everything was quiet.

The patrol was made up of:

(a) a jeep with 2nd Lt. Vaas Gunawardene (1), Private N.A.S. Manutange (12) driving and Corporal G.D. Perera (6) and Private S.S. Amarasinghe (13), Private S.P.G. Rajatillake (14) and Private K.P. Karunaratne (15) in the rear; and a

(b) Tata Benz half truck with the rest of the patrol with Sergent S.I. Thelakaratne (2) in the front seat with Corporal G.R. Perera (3) at the wheel and Private A.J.R. Fernando (7) between them.

I'm not sure about the location of troops: c4. R.A.U. Perera (no pun intended), c5. Sumathipala, c8. M.B. Sunil, c9. D.N.A.D. Manapitiya, c10. G. Robert and c11. A.J. Wijesiri.
