How it began
A retired author from Matale, formerly employed by an oil firm in Kuwait, contacted AngryPages. We provided roughly ninety minutes of support without charge, waived about ninety dollars in fees, and briefly published several of his books. They did not sell. On three separate days in May 2026, we told him clearly and in writing that we would not continue publishing or supporting the work.
What followed
He sent more than eighty emails from multiple addresses, including messages that bypassed our filters. He gave conflicting accounts about his access to a laptop and said he did not want to learn the platform after asking us to teach it. After the May closures, he forwarded private correspondence about active Quran-related projects involving other people to Sacramento news outlets and copied us. We asked that third-party personal information be removed from any further distribution and regarded the forwarding as an attempt to apply pressure.
Our decision
In late July, we briefly reconsidered one project as a courtesy. He was asked for one book and sent several, so we withdrew the offer that day. We then closed the account and issued a permanent no-contact boundary. A clear refusal ends a publishing discussion; repeated contact through multiple addresses and distribution of private third-party correspondence are incompatible with a working relationship.
